Hive Code is a browser-based AI coding agent built into your dashboard. Describe what you want to build and it writes, commits, and ships your app — onto your own CompactHive stack (Git, CI/CD, and a managed PostgreSQL), hosted in the EU. Everything it produces is a real, exportable Git repo you own, not a locked sandbox. It is included on every plan: the Basic trial gives you a working taste, and higher tiers get bigger burst ceilings for heavier builds. Hive Code is built on OpenCode and runs on your own model access — sign in with your ChatGPT subscription or bring an OpenAI or Anthropic API key — so CompactHive never meters tokens or credits.
Yes. Claude Code, Codex CLI, OpenCode, Cursor and VS Code (Copilot) can connect to your workspace through the CompactHive MCP server, signed in with OAuth or a personal access token. Access is read-only by default: your agent can read app logs, app health, build status, deployment history and usage. If you opt in to operate access, it can also restart or redeploy apps, set env vars and write-only secrets, deploy catalog services and create apps — each change previewed first and audit-logged. No deletes, no shell access, no secret reads. Access is per team member and revocable at any time.
The Basic plan includes a 14-day free trial. No credit card required. After 14 days, add a payment method to continue at €9/mo. If you don't, your environment will sleep after a 7-day grace period. You can reactivate anytime within 30 days.

By default, all plans run on our managed shared infrastructure on a best-effort availability basis. The Private Infrastructure add-on moves your environment to an isolated cloud VM with a 99.5% SLA guarantee. Available for any plan, priced based on your tier's resource allocation.
Yes, GitHub is supported in beta. Manually connect repos via the CompactHive GitHub App and set up Woodpecker CI/CD from Settings. GitHub does not yet support automatic shipping from Hive Code, Hive Code sessions, or MCP setup_project for your own AI agent. Built-in, self-hosted Forgejo is the default and recommended option.
Your data lives on infrastructure hosted in the European Union. All processing occurs within the EU. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available at compacthive.io/dpa.
Automated nightly backups are included in every plan. Basic through Pro includes 7-day retention. Business plans include 30-day retention. Backups are encrypted and stored offsite.
